Residential Water Mitigation - Sicklerville NJ

The above pictures are of a water damage occurring in a home in Gloucester Township. The water supply line to the customer’s fridge broke and leaked in the kitchen, dining room, living room and then down to the basement. In the kitchen and dining room, we removed 2 layers of wet laminate flooring so that we could dry the subfloor in the kitchen. In the basement, we had to remove a single layer of laminate flooring that was placed over the concrete subfloor. Whenever laminate flooring gets wet, it swells and can’t be dried. Typically, this type of flooring also has a moisture or vapor barrier between the product and the subfloor, preventing us to properly drying the subfloor, thus the importance of removing the laminate flooring. The homeowner appreciated our attentiveness and was happy that we were able to properly dry the subfloor.
